Registration Includes

A 4 Day, Hands On Retreat in Yuma, AZ hosted by Gwynn (ok and Jonathan too) of Gettin' Creative - 1 full day at their studio (Olive + Oak) dedicated to hands on tutorials and creating and one day at their home diving all in on the business side of things. Arrival and Departure Days will be focused on the R&R side of things - enjoying some fun activities and getting to really connect with other makers!

Something that I want to put in here too - during this retreat I'm all in on the gals who are here. If you ask any of the ladies I've been to meet ups with or had come visit me - I will answer any question about anything in as much detail as you want (and maybe even more than you want ha!) I am the "stay-up-til-4am-talking" kinda person if you want that, I am a "oooh hang on let me show you" kinda gal who will whip out the laptop and walk you through whatever it is you want to know about! I have already told Jonathan I may need to get an extra hotel room for the weekend for the "stay up all night" crew to convene in and I might even take up drinking coffee for the week!

Meals: Lunch will be provided Friday/Saturday/Sunday, on Saturday all meals will be provided at Gwynn's house.
For breakfast we recommend taking advantage of your hotel's spread but we will have fruit and light snacks too!
Thursday we will have reservations to meet up for dinner (after a little activity) at a local iconic restaurant Lutes Casino - they have a big menu with lots of options! *This meal will be on your own as there are LOTS of options available near Lutes if you'd like to eat elsewhere. Friday night is open-ended, we can make plans to eat together or explore one of our local food truck hubs to graze! I really want to leave room for fun ;)

All crafting supplies, workbooks and pens etc will be provided for trainings. If you would like to bring your laptop or a planner you're totally welcome to!

My goal for this event is for you to leave with 3 things
-New Creative Skills that you can take home to use in your products - be it in the items you paint, what you can teach in workshops if you offer them or to show your customers for kits if that is your jam.

-A plan in place for the business side of things - I have 4 main areas I want to share and collaborate on and I will encourage you to choose one to put your focus on at a time. (Personally, I plan to implement one of the strategies per quarter from the end of 2024 through to 2025)

-A brain full of ideas and a heart full of connections with other makers who get it - we are gearing up for busy season and walking away with some extra umph from a fun weekend might be just the thing you need to make it your best Q4 yet!

Travel Recommendations:

The Yuma International Airport is literally a 5 minute drive from my house, its a tiny airport with 1 "terminal" which means quick and easy arrivals and departures. HOWEVER sometimes it means sling-shotting around to get here. I love flying in and out of Yuma but if you'd like a bigger airport to work with PHX and San Diego airports are both about a 3 hour drive and I have at least one person who will be driving down from PHX willing to coordinate carpooling. Once people have started registering I will get us into a private FB group to help coordinate, share rental cars if needed and all the nitty grittys.

I have a total of seating for 11 between Jonathan and I but one way or another we will get everyone to and from for daily activities!

There is a Hilton Hotel that is within walking distance of our shop and the downtown area where some activities will be held as well - Hilton Garden Inn Yuma Pivot Point Hotel. Several of those interested in attending mentioned wanting their own quiet space at the end of the day so I will leave this part to your discretion - but we do have a group where attendees are making plans together to spilt rooms

I'm so stinkin' excited with all the ideas I have swirling around in my head so if there is something you have questions about ahead of registering do not hesitate to reach out to ask!

***Once you've registerd there will be a Google form sent out to ask about dietary restrictions, shirt size and to ask some questions about what YOU hope to get out of this event***

For planning purposes we are unable to offer refunds for this event, tickets can however be transferred and we can talk privately if you need help doing so!
